Well, I got the bottom end apart tonight, looks like I did a lot more damage than I thought I did.  I took a  compression test yesterday and had 150 psi on #4, 85 on #3, 130 on #2, and 125 on #1.  I knew from the blow by that I had a serious problem.  Tonight I pulled the Head and oil pan, the preceded to pull the pistons.  I knew I had a big problem when I pulled the oil pan and found piston skirt pieces.  It looked perfectly fine with the head off and looking at the pistons in there bore.  All the pistons were structurally damaged and cracked, most are missing large chunks of their skirts.  The wild thing is that this car still ran fairly normal and was still hitting the 7000 RPM redline.  I can't believe the thing didn't self destruct and blow a hole in the block.  The cylinder bores look fine and will take the hone nicely.  Should have this back together tomorrow.  I will be moving my boost gauge to a more visible location.  I had to keep my eyes on the road when the tach starts rising in third gear.

This was the result of a few things that went wrong in my car.  First off, I hit 20+ pounds of boost in third gear out on the hi-way.  My boost gauge is mounted way low under my dash and is hard to see, especially when trying to keep the car on the road under boost.  I heard some pretty bad detonation and got out of it.  I was watching the Wide band  display, and my air/fuel ratio was 11:1.  I checked my BTM to make sure my buddy hadn't hit the knob with his knee, that was still set to 1/2 deg retard per # of boost, so, I slowly got into the boost again, this time watching the boost gauge, it hit 15 psi, and then just took off.  I cranked the MBC back down, but the damage had been done already.  So that is what caused the damage to the pistons.
