Day 4 of Parker's 16v Lysholm Build up.

Ok, here is the upper timing mark for the 16v motor, pretty simple.  Just need to get a nice anodized adjustable pulley here.

Here is the relative location of the crankshaft pulley timing marks.  The little dot goes in roughly 7 o'clock position and the top bolt hole is between two teeth.  It is best to check this with the mark on the flywheel or with the pulley and timing cover installed.  This will get you close though.

These funky studs hold the water pump on and go through the Supercharger mounting brackets. Note the breather for the crankcase.

Here is the Block engine code stamped from Volkswagen.

This is an A/C bypass pulley, it replaces the water pump pulley when you delete the A/C compressor.

Factory plug wires hold up great, these are original 87 pieces, got to get a set of Magnacore on there soon.  You can see how the BBM fuel rail is mounted to the intake bolts.

The injectors are Accel 30# high impedance.  The space is kind of tight to get the harness installed.

Different view of the injectors installed.  Bahn Brenner really makes some nice pieces!

This is a blown computer waiting to happen.  Look at the bare wires on the right most injector.  These could very easily short out and burn up the injector driver circuit.  Bad, bad , bad.  We pulled it apart and replaced all the rotten wiring.

Wiring harness installed and a factory 3.5 Bar FPR.

This is the modified oil pan from BBM.  Apparently the single drain for the Lysholm wasn't enough.

This was a 16v Rocco exhaust manifold, not going to work in the Corrado.  Had to swap it for an A2 manifold

The Corrado throttle body is retained.  The intake adaptor tube is notched to clear the brake master reservoir.

Ok, its starting to look like a motor again.  It looks fast already.

That is all for day 4.  Time to figure out how all the limited kit brackets go together.
